Coach Bob started his coaching career as the assistant varsity boys' basketball coach at St. Anthony’s school in Detroit in 1968. He has coached ever since because of his love of sports and of the kids he gets to work with and he enjoys having an impact on student-athletes' lives in a positive way.  Bob has coached baseball, softball, track, and boys and girls basketball at the little league level all the way up to the high school varsity level.

In high school, he lettered in 4 varsity sports—Baseball, Basketball, Football, and Track.  In college, Bob played one year of football and 4 years of varsity baseball at Wayne State University. Go Tartars!  He was severely injured his senior year (1971) and was never able to play competitively again. Bob has coached all 4 of his children's teams as they were growing up.

His goals are to win of course, but more importantly, to teach the benefit of never giving up and continuing to improve so that you can win.  Also, sports provide a way to teach athletes that the sun will rise tomorrow no matter what the outcome of today's events happened to be.
